La Grande Beauté

La Grande Beauté was founded in London in 2019 with a single product: a round turquoise box of flowers, set so full and so composed that it arrived finished and needed nothing from whoever received it. At the time almost no one in London was making flowers that way. We still make that box every morning, in more colours now, and it is still what we are known for.

The founder, Erika, trained in fashion accessories and wanted to make couture, not another fashion label. She could not find in London the flowers she would have sent to someone she loved, so she made them herself: a silhouette first, then a palette, then the finish. Seven years on, that is still how every arrangement is approached.

The flowers are chosen, not ordered. We go to the market at four in the morning and select every stem by hand — English-grown when the season allows, Dutch and Ecuadorian roses the rest of the year — because a rose ordered on a screen arrives the wrong colour, or not yet open, and one chosen in the hand does not. It is why what arrives looks like the photograph, or better.

We deliver every day to The Peninsula, The Lanesborough and the Bulgari, to the apartment buildings of Knightsbridge and Belgravia, and to homes across Mayfair, Chelsea, Kensington and Notting Hill — and to a number of people whose names we will never print. Most orders are placed online in a minute and arrive next day, anywhere in London, when placed by 10pm; same day until 3pm. We photograph every arrangement before it leaves and send you the picture.

Our rule has not changed since the first box: what arrives must be as good as what you saw, whatever it costs us to make that true. If you would rather we chose, write to info@lagrandebeaute.com and describe the person.
