Flower delivery in Marylebone & St John’s Wood

Consulting rooms on Harley Street, Georgian squares behind the High Street, the Regent’s Park terraces and the quiet streets of NW8. Three postcodes that ask for three different kinds of arrival — and one of the few parts of London where what the flowers are for is usually obvious from the address.

Where

Harley Street, the squares, and the park

Marylebone divides neatly. East of Marylebone High Street is the medical quarter — Harley Street, Wimpole Street, Devonshire Place, Queen Anne Street — where almost every building is a consulting practice with a reception desk and a strict signing-in routine. West and north are the Georgian squares, Montagu and Bryanston, and then the Regent’s Park terraces, which are porter-managed and gated.

St John’s Wood is different again: detached and semi-detached houses behind gates and keypads, set back from the road, with the bell often at the gate rather than the door. It is a short drive north for us and an easy delivery, provided we know which gate to ring.

On the day

How an arrangement reaches a Marylebone address

Consulting rooms and private practices

Harley Street and the streets around it are almost entirely reception-led. Our driver hands the arrangement to the desk with the recipient’s full name and, where you know it, the practice or the consultant’s name — a single building can hold a dozen practices. Flowers sent to a patient are taken up by staff; flowers sent to a consultant stay at reception until they are collected.

Arrangements that need nothing doing to them

For a reception desk or a private room, a box is the practical choice: it is arranged and watered in the studio and can be set down exactly as it arrives, with no vase to find and no trimming to do. Where the building prefers not to accept flowers at all — some do — we deliver to the address you give us instead, and it is worth asking first.

Porters, terraces and gated houses

The Regent’s Park terraces and the larger Marylebone blocks have porters; much of St John’s Wood has a gate with a keypad and an intercom. Give us the flat number for a block, or simply tell us “ring at the gate” for a house, and the driver knows what to expect before arriving.

Hotels and apartments

We deliver daily to hotels and serviced apartments across W1U and NW1. As everywhere, give the guest’s full name and the check-in date rather than a room number, and the flowers are handed to the concierge to take up.

What we take there

Get well, thank you, and the arrangement that sits on a reception desk all week

No other part of London sends as many get-well flowers as Marylebone receives. Most go to a consulting room or a private room, and most are ordered by somebody who will not be there to see them arrive — which is why we photograph every arrangement in the studio before it leaves, and send you the picture if you ask.

The second thing Marylebone asks for is the weekly arrangement. Practices, clinics, studios and offices along the High Street and Chiltern Street take a standing order: the same piece, the same day each week, changed by us and taken away. It is quieter work than a gift, and it is the part of the business our clients keep longest.

Good to know

The details that decide the day here

Sending to a private room or a practice

Give the recipient’s full name and the name of the practice or floor if you have it. We do not telephone medical receptions to ask who is in a building, and a delivery addressed to a first name alone on Harley Street is the one delivery we cannot complete.

Requesting a particular hour

Deliveries run between 8am and 9pm. For a consulting room or an office, order for the morning and write the hour you would prefer in the additional delivery information box; we plan the Marylebone round early for exactly this reason. We do not promise an exact time.

If the recipient is out

Our driver telephones the recipient, then you. At a reception or a porter’s desk the flowers are signed for; at a private house, where it is safe, they are left out of the sun with your card, and otherwise returned to us and delivered again once we have spoken to you.

Keeping it a surprise

We may call ahead to make sure somebody is there to receive them. Say so in the order notes if you would rather the recipient were not contacted.

Delivery cost

W1U and the southern part of NW1 sit inside our central London area, with the charge calculated by postcode at checkout. NW8, Primrose Hill and Maida Vale carry a flat charge beyond central London, shown before you pay.

What is in the box, and what is not

The flowers and your handwritten card. Never an invoice, never a price — your receipt is emailed to you.
