Luxury Christmas Flowers London: The Gifting Guide
There is a moment in early December when London decides it is Christmas. The lights go up along Sloane Street, the Connaught puts out its tree, and the question of what to give begins in earnest. For the people who already have everything, which in this city is most of them, flowers are the answer that never fails: made that morning, gone in a fortnight, impossible to regift.
This is our guide to luxury Christmas flowers in London: who to send them to, what to send, and how to order so they arrive on the day you mean them to. Every piece is made by hand on the morning of delivery and hand-delivered by our own team across London.
Why flowers at Christmas
A Christmas hamper sits in a cupboard. A candle is one of nine. Flowers arrive, fill a room, and tell the person something was made for them. In a city where most gifts are bought in a hurry, a box of fresh flowers delivered to the door in the week before Christmas is one of the few that still feels considered.
Our Christmas collection is built on the velvet box: a classic arrangement, a tree, a snowman or a reindeer, set into our signature box in the colour of your choosing. They are gifts, but they are also decoration; most of them spend Christmas on a hall table or a mantelpiece.
The showpieces
“Mr Frosty” – £750
A snowman around 90cm tall, made entirely of fresh white blooms, with his black hat and a red ribbon scarf. The piece people photograph, and the one to send when you want to be remembered. For a hallway, a reception desk, or a family with children.
“Rudy” – £380
A reindeer made from fresh blooms, with a rosy nose and leafy antlers, set in a bed of wintry white. Festive without a single bauble.
“Holiday Cheer” – £450
Sixty-five centimetres wide in a gold vase, with Christmas ornaments set among the blooms, so it arrives ready for the dining table and stays there through the holidays. For the host, or the home.
Classic Christmas boxes
Full arrangements in our signature velvet box, dressed for the season with baubles, branches and ornaments. The gifts most of our clients send.
“Christmas Carol” – £350
Red and white blooms with baubles and sprigs of pine. The classic Christmas box, for those who like the season done properly.
“Silent Night” – £350
White blooms and holiday décor in a white box. Quiet, full and elegant: the one for parents and in-laws.
“Christmas Morning” – £300
Merry and bright: red and white blooms with sprigs of pine. The box to send on the 23rd so it is there when they wake.
“Winter Wonderland” – £350
A full box of garden blooms dressed with Christmas ornaments. A favourite with children, and with anyone who finds red and green a little much.
“Holiday Elegance” – £440
Christmas in pink and lavender. For the friend whose flat is not, and never will be, red and green.
“Christmas in a Box” – £290
Exactly what it says: garden blooms and berry branches in the velvet box. A reliable, generous Christmas gift for colleagues, neighbours and the people who look after you all year.
“Grinch” – £400
Bigger, brighter and louder. For the one who claims not to like Christmas. They will.
Christmas trees in a box
Our signature Christmas idea: a tree built from fresh blooms and branches, dressed with baubles, and set into a velvet box. They suit flats without room for a real tree, offices, and anyone who has already decorated and wants something for the table.
“Sparkles” – £260
A Christmas tree in a box with baubles and a little shine. The right scale for a desk or a console.
“Winter Kisses” – £360
A tree in soft pinks with pine cones and baubles. For a home where red and green would fight the furniture.
“Dreaming of a Pastel Christmas” – £140
A petite tree in pastels, for a desk, a bedside, or a studio flat where one small thing is enough.
Smaller gifts and additions
“Holiday Bowl” (£190) is a low gold bowl arrangement with Christmas ornaments, for a coffee table. “Ho Ho Ho” (from £160) is our hand-tied Christmas bouquet in deep crimson, for those who prefer flowers in the hand. And a box of artisan Christmas cupcakes (from £35) can be added to any order.
Who to send Christmas flowers to
- The host. Send the day before the dinner, not the day of, so the flowers are settled and the host is not answering the door mid-canapé. “Holiday Cheer” or “Christmas Carol”.
- Clients and colleagues. A velvet box arriving at a Mayfair or City office in the second week of December is remembered into January. “Christmas in a Box”, or “Mr Frosty” for a reception. Email us for ten or more and we will arrange a single delivery run.
- Parents and in-laws. Traditional and full: “Silent Night”, “Christmas Morning”.
- Children. “Mr Frosty”, “Rudy” and “Winter Wonderland” are the ones that get named.
- Yourself. A tree in a box for the flat, ordered in the first week of December, is the easiest decorating decision you will make.
